High School (9th–12th Grade): Preparing for the Future
High school is where students prepare for life beyond the classroom. At GRCA, we challenge students academically, nurture them spiritually, and equip them with the knowledge, skills, and character they need for college, career, and lifelong faithfulness to Christ. These four years are about more than earning a diploma, they're about becoming the person God created each student to be.
Our college-preparatory curriculum develops critical thinkers who can analyze complex ideas, communicate effectively, and engage thoughtfully with the world around them. Small class sizes mean students receive individualized attention and mentorship from teachers who are invested in their success.

Academic Programs
Rigorous & Comprehensive
The high school curriculum covers all core subjects with increasing depth and complexity. Students develop advanced analytical skills, learn to think independently, and engage with challenging material across disciplines. The Abeka curriculum provides a strong academic foundation while integrating a biblical worldview into every subject.
College & Career Ready
Teachers set high expectations and provide the support students need to meet them. Class discussions encourage students to ask questions, defend their positions, and consider multiple perspectives. Students graduate as confident learners ready for the next chapter.
Students Are Equipped To
Language Arts
High school English develops sophisticated readers and writers. Students analyze classic and contemporary literature, exploring themes, symbolism, literary techniques, and cultural contexts. They write research papers, analytical essays, and persuasive arguments with clarity and precision.
Mathematics
High school math progresses from foundational algebra through advanced concepts. Ninth graders typically take Algebra I. The sequence continues through Geometry and Algebra II. We adapt senior course offerings as needed, providing options such as Pre-Calculus, Accounting, and Business Mathematics based on the unique needs of each graduating class.
Science
High school science includes Matter & Energy, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, providing comprehensive coverage of life science, physical science, and earth science. Students engage in hands-on laboratory work, learning scientific methodology through experimentation and observation.
Social Studies
The high school social studies curriculum includes World Geography, World History, US History, and American Government. Students examine historical events, analyze primary sources, understand government structures and civic responsibilities, and explore economic principles.
Bible
High school chapel classes focus on developing mature faith and a comprehensive biblical worldview. Students study systematic theology, engage with apologetics, explore biblical interpretation, and learn to apply scripture to contemporary issues. We help students own their faith, understand why they believe what they believe, and develop convictions that will guide them through college and adulthood.
Beyond Academics
High school students participate in daily chapel designed to address the questions and challenges they face. Students have opportunities to serve, lead worship, and minister to younger students. They learn to articulate their faith, defend biblical truth with grace, and live as witnesses in their communities.
Character development and discipleship remain central — students grow in integrity, responsibility, compassion, and servant leadership. High school is also a time for exploring interests, discovering gifts, and considering future paths.
